Very disappointed in tonight’s Cajun Salmon salad - salad was smaller than my daughter’s side salad and the salmon was lacking Cajun seasoning. Not worth it at all. Too bad as it was one of my favourites.
We came in last night for the $10 apps, we came in late around 11pm and I know sometimes servers can get irritated when customers come in late.. I work in the service industry so I know this! Our server had a smile on her face and suggested the chicken tenders which were amazing. We will be back for sure!!!!!!!! Thanks brown stones!!!!
Yesterday afternoon your manager Carrie was sitting at the bar having a few drinks with who I’m assuming is her husband?? The things she was saying about your restaurant were completely unacceptable. Complaining the entire time about her service and how her husbands beer was warm… I will tell you the restaurant was not busy at this time so I can assure you the service was not slow. She complained to the bartender who came in for the closing shift multiple times. I believe you would want to know if an employee was trashing your restaurant, especially a manager. Saying this place is embarrassing….. things need to change… service needs to improve. It was not cool.
So we were at the restaurant this evening in a booth by the bar. The service was terrible. We usually come and enjoy our evening but tonight it took 25 min to get a drink. The table behind us arrived after us and was served before us. We understand it is busy but the service the last few times has been terrible. The chicken burger was rubbery, the Caesar was like drinking pure pickle juice . The only thing that was good was the bacon burger. The garlic bread was over priced for the tiny pieces we got. Our bill was $90. Like I said we were big fans but tonight has definitely changed our minds. Very disappointed.

I never ever what to use busy as an excuse for under service And we are missing key staff due to Covid and that would normally work on the busy nights but you should not have to suffer due to my newer staff on. My family and I came out to brown stones for my sons birthday party. The food was amazing and the service was friendly! Every server who walked past had a smile on their face which made the experience even better. Such positive vibes! Will be back soon :$
Myself and 5 of of colleagues enjoyed a great dinner last night at brownstones. Our spinach dip and egg rolls were warm and tasty. I decided to try the brisket bomber sandwich and it was amazing. The service was great too! Our waitress was knowledgeable of the specials and was very quick to bring us drinks. We will most definitely be back to brownstones. Thanks Gina for the great service!
Three times I have gone to brownstone restaurant within the last three months of 2021 and ordered fish and chips. The staff were very pleasant and polite and nice to talk to you. Although when I got my meal the fish was hot but the fries were cold to warm. My lady friend that was with me ordered spaghetti and meatballs and it was cold. Service must get better or we will never come back although we enjoy being at brownstones because of your staff. My lady friend and myself were at brownstones tonight October 22, 2021 and again I ordered fish and chips the fish was hot but the fries were warm. We noticed that the lady serving us had about six tables to serve so I am thinking that was way too much for her or you have to have a better system of serving food to customers or people will not come back they want their food hot like I do. I hope my dining experience with brownstones will get better and you train your people maybe in a different way to serve food that is hot or you will not see me and my friend and a lot of other people again. Again the food is excellent he just needs to get to the customer hot so we all enjoy our meal. Thank you from a loyal customer of yours.
Dear Sir or Madam: Although the food was very good, there is nothing that better enhances one's dining experience than the service that is provided. It is the service that was provided by Emily that prompts me to write. It was exemplary. Emily was friendly, personable, sincere a bit humourous, and delightfully so, and efficient. She checked on my friend and I just often enough, but not too often. I think it must be very difficult to have to work in a mask. Emily's service could not have been better. This restaurant never let's me down, always goes above and beyond for my orders. Its always fresh and hot. They always are willing to follow my picky selections. I support this locator always and recommend it to all I know.
Wishing for a 0 star. I ordered chicken wings through Skip, took a bite of a chicken wing only to find to my absolute horror that it was bloody raw on the inside. After checking the rest they were all raw. I have pictures if anyone from there is interested. This was my very first & absolute last experience with Brownstones.
I have had mixed experiences there. The bar side wait staff does a MUCH better job then the restaurant side. There were 5 adults and a toddler on the family side and we had to stop our waiter to ask for anything, drink refills especially! Our drinks were wrong half the time too. We were never asked how our meal was and it ended up being a 2.5hr meal that didn't need to be. Really disappointed. I suggest if you do go, just sit at the bar.
This is the third and final time I will ever frequent this place. Service was poor, We had to wait for everything. Our Waitress couldn't remember anything. The on duty manager called me out to explain to him in front of our birthday celebration why my meal sucked. The owners of this business should replace the cooks, our waitress and especially the onduty manager for the Aug 15. night work group.
had a terrible experience. went to brownstones to specifically watch the maple meafs game. server was rude abd forgot out drinks and told up the kitchen was closed and proceeded to bring out food for other tables for 20 minutes then she turned off the tvs 10 minutes before the game ended and it was only quater to 1. very disappointed and didn't get to finish out drinks due to feelings of being "kicked out"
We go to brownstones frequently, we have never been disappointed. Staff & owner know how to take care of you in a very genuine fashion. However there is always the unpleaseables , demanders, and ignorant patrons that no one can satisfy. So keep up the great work John and staff!!!!??????
Big shout out to the waitstaff at Brownstownes Saturday night! They took in a twenty-five person last minute reservation and accommodated a Grosse Ile, Mi. hockey team. They took care of 12 energetic 10 year olds with patience and smiling faces. Even when one of the boys cell phones slid down in to the wall between the booth seat and adjoining wall, the staff did not faulter and deligently worked to retrieve it. They worked until success was met with the young man's phone being saved! Emma was the name I remember, another waitress and another young man all worked tirelessly to attend to all the needs of our group! Food was great, service was top notch!
on sat. nite a large group of friends meet a restaurant.Brooke our waitress did an excellent job with such a Large group(14+).MIXUPS ONLY occurred when other wellmeaning staff took over and attempted to deliver food.2 orders got mixed up.the manager Rickcame in after the mix up and I felt(along with other quests)he handled the mixed up VERY VERY INAPROPERTLY).I was NOT impressed with this unprofessional behaviour.After our friends left, I tried to approach this manager and was treated Very Rudely.I was also told to NOT COME BACK.guess what,I WON'T be back.Food was good,Our waitress was great(better if left alone to do her job!)YOUR MANAGER WAS EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL:(.
Will not go back for awhile ,terrible service as soon as we entered the door ,no one in front of us and still took 5 min for someone to seat us , the waiter told us us about the special that runs till 7 pm , and that it was 6.59 , so i said i wanted that , he came back and said manager said it was too late , so i ordered something else and my wife orderd fish , turns out fish was not cooked in the middle , manager came out and didnt seem too concerned , did not have to pay for fish and left ,
5 of us from my family made a 5 pm reservation on October 22nd to celebrate my 50th birthday. Although the restaurant was anticipating a large crowd for the evening they were far from filled up when we arrived. Not only my was my entree completely missed but 2 salads were mixed up, an order of fries was missed along with the gravy. We asked for an extra plate for the little guy which was missed. I had to go to the bar for a drink refill after the waiter already took the empty glass. When the bill arrived 50 per cent was taken off but I noticed we had still been charged for the gravy we didn't receive. We have visited several times before but after this experience will not recommend Brownstones to anyone. How does an uncomplicated order get so terribly messed up and the owner not even approach the table to apologize?? Happy Birthday to me!
Our recent lunch was a great success due to the great food and excellent service at Brownstones. We were a larger group and really enjoyed being in the room at the side. We'll be back!
Brownstones is a great place to eat or drink, it has a very nice atmosphere. The restaurant is divided inton quiet family dinning or a lively bar with music The food is generally amazing, full of flavour. Not a fan of the wings, I found mine to be dry and dense however; the burger I ordered was juicy and delicious. The Brownstones house beer is fresh and tasty, if it's your first time I recommend you start there.
their SR. Menu is a very good value--$8 to $12 includes salad with many meals plus coffee & pie. We've told many Sr. friends & they've all enjoyed their meals. We'll be back.
