I received the best customer service ever here. The cleanliness, hospitality, and broad menu items brought joy to me and my elderly companions. I show nothing but gratitude to this great establishment and its amazing team. Thank you again to the Wagg's.

On Friday, August 2, 2024 our group of 11 had dinner at Waggs. The food was delicious, the service outstanding and our server was most courteous and accommodating. We are a group of ladies that went to high school together - over 60 years ago - and we meet up once a year. It is nice to have such a location as Waggs to have a delicious dinner. Thank you.

On Sunday June 30th, 2024 my husband and I celebrated our 35th anniversary at Wagg's. When we asked for the bill our waitress told us that the couple seated near us overheard us telling her. They discreetly paid for our dinners Including a bottle of wine and asked her not to tell us until after they left. We were totally blown away and hope they see this. We so appreciated their generosity and plan to pay it forward when the opportunity arises.

The food were sumptuous. but staff were a little bit off. they asked us if we want to order dessert, but since we ordered rib eye steak we asked if dessert is part of the full course (some restaurants offers this package so we asked). the staff went bck and talk to the other server about our inquiry, and they both laughed. i mean, if you laugh at us, atleast please make sure we don’t hear it ‘coz it’s not nice.

Went to Waggs last Friday. Made a reservation. When we got there the hostess wanted to put us at a table that was just outside the kitchen, so constant foot traffic. Told her I wasn't sitting there and she gave us another table that wasn't much better. Told her this was our 45th wedding anniversary and was hoping for a good table She just looked at me and walked away. A hostess is supposed to be friendly and plesant - she was neither. Very disappointed

I visited this restaurant with my wife on Nov. 18, '23 after reading several favourable reviews. This was supposed to be one of the best in Sarnia. Overall. we left quite dissapointed. Very dark decor with poor lighting, appropriate for a post-funeral meal, no linen cloths on the tables, cheap plastic. We ordered from the seniors menu - the prime rib and a New York steak, both well done. The prime rib au jus was very good but the steak came scorched and tasted bitter. We should have refused it, it was a wasted dish. The chocolate cheese cake was quite good but the service was very average and lacked in several areas. We will not go there again, I'm sure there are better places in Sarnia.

I've never had a bad meal here - or even a mediocre one! The food is absolutely fantastic. The service is also top notch. Wagg's is the first place I recommend whenever friends or relatives as "where should we go for lunch/dinner?" If I'm going to pay a bit more for a meal I want it to be fabulous and that is consistently what you get at Wagg's!

We went to Waggs for our anniversary recently. We had a wonderful server, but so disappointed in the food. Our reservation was for 8pm, Waggs closes at 8:30, so lesson learned that we won't ever go to Waggs near the end of the day. My husband ordered the lamb and I had the filet mignon. His lamb, which he will often order had a lot of grizzle and my steak was so dry. I always order well-done and have not have problems with a filet being that dry, was like eating leather. We didn't complain to the server as it was the end of the night for her and they would not have had time to correct our meal. I did call and spoke to a very nice lady, Allie and she reassured me that Theresa would want to talk to me or my husband about our experience. Never received a call back, so I called a couple days later and ended up speaking to the lady who served us the night we were there. She was short on the phone with me and asked "well why didn't you let us know your meals were not satisfactory, we would have corrected it". Not when the kitchen was closed would that have been possible. I saw the cook leaving the kitchen with a bottle of beer, so figured he was done for the night anyway. I am surprised the way the lady who served us spoke in the tone she did, but even more surprised Theresa did not even attempt to return a phone call. We have a lot of friends that recommended Waggs and we have been to Waggs once previously and it was good. Not sure if it was because it was closing time and we were the last reservation and last ones out, but sadly disappointed regardless of the reason.

Was seated and ignored. Tables that were sat after me were served. No wait staff even bothered me asking if I wanted a drink. Upon arriving; was also ignored as two employee young women gossiped with eachother. After about 15 Mins of being seated and ignored i pretended to take a phone call to save my dignity, and left since I felt invisible. I’ve gone to this restaurant fairly regularly ; not sure if I’ll return again though. Was appalled at how invisible I seemed to the employees here.

Went for dinner on Sat evening and ordered seniors pickerel. One of three pieces was full of bones (which I mentioned to waitress). Got charged for regular order which was $8 more. Waitress checked with management and said nothing could be done as I ordered regular pickerel and ignored the bones. There was 4 people in our party and we were rushed out of there in exactly one hour so another sitting could be there for 6. Not impressed.

Hi David,

I was waiting for this email... Shauna the waitress asked the table how your dinner was and nothing was mention until you received your bill, when taking the order the people at your table ordered of the senior menu BUT your did not state that your wanted the Senior menu so you received Regular order of Pickerel and payed for Regular order. Unfortunately we have no control over bones in the pickerel, I will definitely mention to our supplier regarding the bones. As to being rushed out of the restaurant that's not true, we at Wagg's never rush our customers. I do believe your reservation was at 4:30 so hour and half before we needed the table back is plenty of time no one asked you to leave. Sorry you feel Not Impressed by Wagg's.

As usual the food was perfectly prepared. A little disappointed with the price increases but to be expected I guess. We used to be able to count on a reasonably priced meal with wine. Now, prices are about the same as other restaurants. Always liked that the meals include salad and buns. Thanks.

We made reservation for 6:30pm for 3 couples....ordered our food, everything was fine until i ate 3/4 of my salad and as i was eating there was some very hard and sharp pieces of a broken plate (or cup), i ended up pulling out 3 pieces of shards out of my mouth and there were 4 more pieces on my plate (about the size of sesame seeds). My wife pointed to my plate and found another piece about the size of a quarter. Just before we received our salads, one of the couple we were with said they heard a crash coming from the kitchen. I can assume that was a broken plate or cup involved.

They really need to do a risk assessment to ensure foreign objects doesn't end up in the food.

Needless to say, they offered a free dessert to which i declined. I paid my bill and will not be returning to this establishment ever again

What can I say. "Accidents Happen" This is the first time in 32 years that something like this has ever happened, it was not our intention to serve a salad with small broken pieces of plate in it, Im not sure how they ended up in your salad when the plate broke on the floor, but unfortunately it happened and I apologize for that. Unfortunately management just left for the evening so was unable to take care of the situation, speak to you and apologize to you directly. Spoke to my server and said she was very apologetic and did what she thought would rectify the situation. We also issued a gift certificate the following business day when management was it to someone else in your party. Im not sure what else we could of done in this situation, but to write a review and say you are never coming back to the restaurant is a little harsh! We are a small independent restaurant that works very hard, especially during covid times, to make sure everyone has a great dining experience. Again, accidents do happen.

Stayed in Point Edward with a friend when there for a couple days for eye appointment. Saw your website and decided to go one night for dinner. We ordered the prime rib on the senior menu. The meal was delicious. Prime rib was was done perfectly and just enough with baked potato and veggies to be a wonderful, full meal.

After waiting for a year to enjoy an in restaurant experience, we opted to try an at home date. Ordered Prime Rib and Garlic Shrimp with accompanying salads. Set our own table complete with table cloth and our best china replete with candles. Our meal arrived via On the Dot. WOW. When we had served our meals my girlfriend cried. The Shrimp was gorgeous, salad like no other. When I cut into the Prime Rib, it was like butter. What a fabulous meal. Thanks WAGGS.

Worst dining experience ever! Meat was almost raw when served. The other meal was over cooked. The restaurant was not that busy when we got there. Two tables that arrived after us were served and eating before our order was taken. Called to explain to the manager the following day and the attitude she had was as bad as the food we received! Last time I will ever visit this restaurant

HATS OFF TO WAGGS! We were a party of 16 celebrating my husband's 80th BD on Saturday night and everything was perfect! Christine, our server, who was responsible for our party that night was so great/attentive. We all had our meals served at the same time (quite an accomplishment I would say). There were 2 other 'parties' that night and all tables were filled so a very busy night for the staff. We had family travelling from St.Catharines / Stratford / London for dinner who had never been to Wagg's before and were so impressed not only with the quality and presentation of the food but with the service. The whole evening there was a success...thanks to all!

Last night was our first visit to Waggs. It was very busy in the restaurant and the service was excellent!!! We had the Crab stuffed mushrooms for our app. It was a plate of awesomeness!!! I had the Ribeye and the twice baked potato. My spouse had the Prime Rib. Both were fantastic and cooked perfectly. The best prime rib we've ever had( I had to try it). We highly recommend Waggs. You won't be disappointed. When we are back in Sarnia, Waggs will be the place we stop for dinner.

In for dinner. Prime rib arrived for both of us cool and not warm at all. Food was so cool that butter would not melt in potatoes. When we sent back both meals the owner came over to lecture us about how prime rib would not be warm. Then charged me half for a meal that I didn't eat saying they had to throw out the beef. Won't ever be back. Was a regular customer. Hope you enjoy the $13.00 and don't miss the hundreds in the future.

Hello Brad, I apologize that you felt that I Lectured you, that was not my intention, it was just to explain how the temperatures of prime rib will vary at different doneness. A lot of customers do not understand that and think that rare and medium rare should be served hot! Also, I did not realize that your entire meal was cool, I thought it was just the prime ribs! We served many prime rib dinners last night with not an issue, the only explanation that I can come up with is that your dinners may of sat too long in the pick up window, and again I apologize that your dinners where not served as warm as they should of been. Looking back and knowing that your entire meal was cold, I should removed it from the bill and not discounted it, that was my fault, but the server and I did try to fix or even replace your meal and you wanted no part of it, we do make mistakes from time to time, we are not perfect. I wish you would have given us the opportunity to fix our mistake but you did not. As you said, you have been to Waggs many times and never had an issue in the past, I would be more that happy to make this evening up to you if you give me a chance, if you would like to discuss this matter further please call me at the restaurant

However, that is one thing that is worth bringing up: the place *does* offer takeout options, and unlike some places I have been, the 'takeout' actually looks as appealing in the box as on the plate; they put forth effort in making sure it's done to snuff.

I got the coconut shrimp and the ribeye steak (with sweet potato fries, rather than potato).

The steak was somewhat overdone for my own personal taste: medium rare when I requested 'as rare as you can go'. That one complaint out of the way, however, it was tender and fall-apart in the mouth, the seasoning was superb, and the portion was practically two meals worth all by itself. The seasonal veggies were quite a surprise to me: crisp, flavorful, and actually tasted like fresh vegetables, whereas I have become used to most restaurant veggies tasting 'OK, but like reheated frozen'.

I will also note that while I've had a lot of sweet potato fries in my time, these were easily the best I've ever had. I can't recommend them highly enough: they weren't 'fries', so much as 'chunky slabs of sweet potato': big, thick, steak fries that happened to be made of sweet potato.

However, as much as I want to rave about the main course (aside from the overdoneness), I can't say enough good things about the cocounut shrimp. I got it as an appetizer, but not only are they massive, the flavor is absolutely delicious. If I got nothing but the coconut shrimp, there would not be enough stars to rate the place's food; if you are even *remotely* a fan of coconut shrimp, please: do yourself a favor and try Wagg's!

Visit night before valentines by three couples in small side room. Food as always was tasty and service was prompt. However on this occasion as the restaurant was very busy, a second server (purported to be the owner or maybe owner's wife) came to our room to help out by taking our drink orders and serving them. As she was serving she accidentally knocked over a carafe and full glass of red wine on my wife and me. Both of us had drenched pants and splattered sweaters to sit in while enjoying our food. As comp no charge for the wine carafe but no mention of paying for cleaning the clothes. Two hours later after returning home our clothes were still saturated but the staining had set in and both sweaters could not be salvaged. Because the pants were both very dark, the staining is there but not as noticeable because of the dark colour. In the end this evening was a very costly celebration for valentines and management took no responsibility for the loss to ourselves. We are frequent customers, but not likely to be returning. To KJD,

Yes a accident did happen...….Yes many apologies did take place for the accident and your LITRE of wine was comped. I'm truly having a hard time understanding why this accident needs to be written about not only on trip advisor and now on our business website that everyone can see, why would you not call the restaurant and have a conversation with us regarding how the accident was handled and at least give us a chance rectify this situation before if was posted on 2 different public websites? Is it because the owner made a mistake? We take ownership of the accident and that's why we comped your Litre of wine and made many apologies!!! I don't understand why you would not likely come back to Wagg's if you enjoyed your meal and realize these accidents happen once in while, that's why they are called accidents. I'm sorry you feel I needed to offer to pay for your dry cleaning, but at the time of the incident we where unaware if any dry cleaning needed to be done, please feel free to bring your dry cleaning bill to Wagg's and we would be more that happy to pay for it. I really do wish I could say I was perfect and don't make any mistakes or accidents but that is 100% unrealistic for anyone to say!!! I wish your a wonderful day and once again we do apologize for the accident that took place that evening.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Waggs. The food is always amazing, and I have never once had a bad meal. The service is fantastic. 6 of us went this past Monday evening for a birthday dinner and they seated us in their private room that fits 6 comfortably, even though I had not even reserved that room. It was wonderful, very private and lovely atmosphere. Thank you Waggs for the amazing food, amazing service and great atmosphere. If I could give you 6 stars instead of 5, I would!

We absolutely love this place and most times choose this place for a special occasion. It's 2 hours away but has always been worth it. One thing I always enjoy is their fresh salad with blue cheese dressing. I think they must have been low on the blue cheese because there was just a faint dusting of the cheese. Oh well, still one of our favourites.

I have eaten at Waggs a handful of times and bever had a vad meal. Last Wednesday I was there had a great meal but my dinner plate wasnt off the table more than couple of monutes and the waitress placed my bill on the table. There was no asking if we wanted dessert, another drink coffee or tea. If the service is going to be like that I will not return.

Normally, Waggs is great, but yesterday (Thursday, Jan 25th) things were not good. I had to send back my grilled chicken sandwich because it did not have the cheese and red onion as described. When it came back, it had feta cheese, the onion and no ale sauce! We were planning on celebrating Valentines Day there, but we decided against it.

Hello, Im a little confused by your 2 star review of my restaurant, currently we do not offer a grilled chicken sandwich in which you are describing, we did last year but not in the past 4 months, I did notice that that the old menu is still posted on our website (which I will correct with our website provider asap) but definitely not on the current menu giving out at the restaurant, so not sure how the sandwich you described was even ordered. I apologize if you had an issue with your lunch regardless, but nothing was brought to my attention. If you where unhappy we would of been more that happy to fix what ever the problem was or even take it off your bill if necessary. Unfortunately we do make mistakes from time to time, but my staff and I do everything to make sure the customer is happy in the end as we have always done for the past 27 years.

After a long day at a project in which the evening was concluding with blowing snow and freezing temperature, Wagg's was indeed an oasis. I immediately recognized that the decor was warm and cozy, and the staff was friendly and professional. The fresh salad that was paired with my meal was perfect. There are established steak restaurants in the Chicago area that can learn from Wagg's on how to prepare steaks. My 12-oz ribeye was truly the best I've ever had, and the wine selection was perfect. I truly believe how a meal is presented is as important as how it tastes, and it was so elegantly presented. As a frequent traveler to Sarnia, I will make frequent visits to Wagg's. Whatever you are doing, keep doing it!

We had our son and daughter-in-laws wedding rehearsal dinner downstairs at Waggs last Friday November 17th,2017. My wife Teresa and I would like to say that both the food and the service was excellent. All of our parties requests and needs were more than taken care of. The prime rib was great { as usual } and the salmon was done perfectly. The bartender / waitress that night was really really good. Thanks very much for an enjoyable night.

Arrived in Sarnia at dinner time. Needed to find a place to have dinner before attending a Wake. We didn't have a reservation and they were busy. We were seated at a great table and attended to with style and grace. The meals were FANTASTIC! One of us had food allergies - no problem, the staff took good care of us! Best restaurant overall that I've been to in a long time. What a treat! Too bad we live so far away. Thank you all at Wagg's. Keep doing what you're doing because it's working! :) Fantastic staff!

Food and service was excellent, didn't have a good filet mignon with mushroom sauce like that in a long time; melting in my mouth. Christine, our hostess was kind and very professional. Recommend it with no hesitation!

You wouldn't think that a Super 8 would have a great restaurant but it does! Wagg's is a classy restaurant with the best prime rib that my husband and I have ever tasted. I also love their maple glazed salmon and my husband always orders lobster or crab legs with his prime rib. The service and staff are second to none!! It is a bit of a drive for us but well worth it! Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

My husband and I try to go to Waggs every Saturday night for our "date night" dinner. We are never disappointed . From being greeted by Teresa and sat at our favourite table to being waited on by any of the excellent servers ....our night is always special. The food is second to none. I try different things on the menu but my husband is a creature of habit and always gets the prime rib because he knows it will always be excellent. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant. You won't be sorry you went to Waggs!

My husband and I have been going to Waggs for dinner for many years. He claims the prime rib is the best in town, while I'm a lover of their Pacific salmon and chicken dishes. The restaurant is a favourite destination for lunch with my gal pals as well. Their friendly and efficient service keeps us returning regularly. With all this and frequent incentive coupons, this continues to be one of the best dining experiences in Sarnia :).
