About Us

It all started in 1964 when Al Bedard recognized the need for a sewing machine and vacuum store and repair centre in Sarnia.

All of Al’s children worked in the business from time to time. Rob and Mike eventually entered into a partnership with their Dad. Rob spent the most time in the business. He started as a teenager and continued for many years until Rob and Mike took over the business when Al retired. Rob continued to run the store until 2020 when the new owner, Greg Doherty, took over.

They saved my bacon. A belt on our vaccum broke. They verified the correct size and was in stock already.. saved me from spending hundreds on a new unit or waiting a week plus for a replacement part from the manufacturer, which isn't an option obviously.

&I went in looking for a small belt for a piece of lawn equipment I couldn't find anywhere else. It was not related to sewing machines or vacuums but it was an odd size and I was having a tough time finding it. The service I received here was awesome, so friendly and helpful. I bought a small belt and they said if it didn't work they would take it back and give me a full refund - no questions.
