Chef/Owner Paresh Thakkar opened the restaurant in September of 2011. Located at 144 Mitton St. S. He had previously worked at Paddy Flaherty’s, Fanshawe College, Lola’s Lounge, Bertoldi’s Trattoria, The Trough Dining Co., along with providing cooking classes at Loblaws, The LCBO and The Cheese Wedge.
Upon opening Personal Touch Eatery & Catering, the location provides a place for Chef Paresh to both cater to all types of functions, and create and innovate, trying new flavour combinations with weekly specials which include soup, salad and dips.
We also keep a freezer full of chef prepared meals and soups. Available in two sizes to feed a couple or a family. We also prepare our own sauces, jams, chutneys, spice blends, etc that change regularly. Click on the online ordering link to see current availability.
In addition to the regular menu, Personal Touch provides a unique catering service in which all menu’s are customized. In terms of specific type of catering that we offer, this list includes, but is not limited to:
- In-home private dinner parties
- Small Weddings (up to 75 people)
- Rehearsal Dinners
- Buffet Meals
- Luncheon Meetings (sandwiches/wraps, hot meals, etc)
- Snacks/Appetizers for host parties (Enjo, Scentsy, etc)
- First Friday Functions
- In-home cooking demonstrations/classes
We do not restrict any of these catering functions to a set menu, so please email chefp@personaltoucheatery.ca to inquire.
We put an emphasis on using Local, Seasonal and Fresh foods, using some of the following vendors:
- Sarnia Farmer's Market
- Bluewater Beef, Dickenson Farms, Weiland Meats, The Country Butcher, Lena's Lamb
- Twin Bridge Honey, Twin Pines Cider, Bayfield Berry Farm, Vrolyk Farm Produce
- Purdys Fisheries, Forest Glen Herb Farm
Although our establishment is not a complete peanut free zone, we are able to accommodate to most dietary restrictions.
